claude-mail privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026.

Who this is for

claude-mail is a private application used only by its owners, Luke Ferguson and Abi Weir, for their own Google accounts. It is not available to anyone else.

What it accesses

When an owner signs in, the app asks for permission to read, compose, label and modify Gmail messages in that owner's own mailbox, and to see the account's email address and basic profile.

How the data is used

Mail data is read on the owner's own computer and used only to carry out requests the owner makes to their AI assistant, such as searching, summarising, labelling or drafting email. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build profiles or train models other than as part of that assistant's normal processing of the owner's own requests.

Storage

Sign-in tokens are stored in a folder on the owner's own computer. The app does not run a server that stores mail for anyone else.

Revoking access

An owner can remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and by deleting the local token folder.

Google API Services

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
